The demo includes the first floor of the Hayes Manor, and is about an hour of gameplay! The demo is expected to be patched with fixes and content, so players who use the itch.io app can automatically download updates when they go live.

Schrodinger's Catgirl is a point-and-click sci-fi mystery visual novel from the studio that brought you Retrace: Memories of Death. Follow the adventures of the investigation duo, Lemi and Leon, when they stumble upon the assault of a young woman in an abandoned mansion. The team decides to investigate the incident themselves before the police get to the scene, but the more they look, the more the truth changes…

Schrodinger's Catgirl takes inspiration from other adventure and point and click games, such as the Ace Attorney series and Until Dawn. Explore different rooms and floors in the manor with Lemi and Leon, finding more clues and evidence to build your case. Who really attacked that girl, and why was the manor abandoned in the first place?
A very complex web of variables determines the truth behind the attack, depending on what evidence you discover. In the event you don't like how the outcome looks, there may be someone in the shadows willing to wipe them away ...

EXPLORE

There's more than one way to skin a cat, and more than one way to solve a mystery. Use Lemi's camera to switch between the manor's past and present and find new angles on the truth, or even discover areas inaccessible in the present day. But be careful - danger lurks in the depth of the manor, and the more time distorts, the more likely that Lemi and Leon will find their lives in peril.

Hi! I really enjoyed Retrace so I'm excited about this game :D

One suggestion/request for you--could you make the text size larger? It doesn't ever fill the entire textbox and I'm finding it hard to read.

Thanks for the reports! That's a known bug we're trying to hunt down, so that's a huge help. If you're curious, it's an error when the game tries to reset all its variables to let you start fresh - it goes too far and erases some important data the game needs to function properly. You'd think that'd be an easy fix, but it's being surprisingly evasive.

The demo was a lot of fun! The two characters had a nice chemistry between them. I love the expressive sprite work for them as well. Exploring around the manor was intriguing and left some good mysteries to wonder about for the full-game. I also love the idea that there’s multiple ways to solve puzzles and perhaps the mysteries within the game as well. I kinda wish we could have seen a bit more of that concept displayed in the demo. Overall, I am intrigued and I am looking forward to the full release! Best regards!

Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it! I'm actually planning on included a little bit more in the demo before the campaign ends - just waiting on a certain piece of art. Hopefully that'll whet your appetite a bit better!
