New Tier and Stretch Goals!
Hello everyone! We are now at our last 48 hours of the campaign. So much has happened in the last day, but we have a few surprises left up our sleeves!
A New Tier?!?
It's no joke, we have added a new £1001 reward for those who want to pet the Catgirl! You'll receive a sprite in the game just like in the On-site Researcher tier, and you'll work with our Narrative Designers to make this scene happen!
---
If you were interested in the project and have not backed yet, we ask that you please put down any amount to ensure you can continue to follow project updates. A game key is only £7! Remember: Kickstarter campaigns are All Or Nothing, so we don't see any cash until we hit 100%. It is vital that we have these funds necessary in order to compensate our team to complete the game on time.
As an incentive to pledge for the first time or possibly increase your pledges, we'll be revealing a new stretch goal. Those of you who've been with us from the beginning will remember that we initially listed Event Illustrations (CGs) and Voice Acting as goals, but we received an offer during the middle of the campaign that was too amazing to pass up on. CGs and VA are still on the table, but our first stretch goal is now...
£18,750: Guest Song From Scarlet Moon
We received a message from renowned video game composer label Scarlet Moon, whose team of artists include composers such as Shinji Hosoe (Zero Escape series) and Emi Evans (Dark Souls series, NieR series), offering their services to us. While we already have a contract in place with the lovely Harmonicblend, the idea of a main theme song in the vein of Morphogenetic Sorrow from 999 would be incredible.
£5250 would be enough to commission an approximately 3 minute-long song, depending on which artists are available. When we get closer to funding that amount, we'll resume talks with Scarlet Moon to finalize the details. We hope this prospect excites you just as much as it does for us!
£20,250: Event Illustrations
As wonderful as our animated sprites are, sometimes you just need a full illustration to get across the drama of a scene. At this goal, we'll be adding just that! Will you be able to find them all? A good set of CGs for the scenes we're planning will be approximately £1,500.
£26,750: Voice Acting
At this stretch goal, the game will be partially voice acted, with some scenes receiving the full voice acting treatment. Our sprite artist, Maxi, also happens to be an acclaimed VA Director, so we're really excited for this one! The amount of lines we would get voiced would cost approximately £6,500.
Ports?
We would absolutely love to bring Schrodinger's Catgirl to console (or even mobile...?)! If you have a specific preference, do be sure to let us know in the comments or via social media so we can decide which one to put up first...
While GameMaker 2 does have pricing plans that would allow us to port to computer OSes or consoles as a bundle (being able to port to Linux would technically give us the ability to also port to Mac), it's vital that we thoroughly test each version of the game on each type of hardware to ensure there are no bugs. For this reason, we can only ensure QA can happen on the most popular systems until more funding is acquired.
If you want to see this adventure through, be sure to pledge to the campaign! You can also read this update there.
